2007 Chicago to Mackinac Sailboat Race

[edit] The annual Race to Mackinac shall be held beginning Saturday, July 14, 2007.

[edit] Changes for 2007

• The awards ceremony and Mount Gay sailors' party will be held at the Grand Hotel Tea Garden, instead of the traditional Island House.
• A Cruising Division has been added to the race.
• Participants are asked to consider docking at St. Ignace as an alternative to improve post-race boat logistics.
• Monohulls will be scored using the Offshore Racing Rule (ORR), administered by the Offshore Racing Association (ORA) and US Sailing. Multihulls will once again be scored using Great Lakes Multihull Racing Association (GLMRA) time-on-time scoring.
• ISAF Advertising Classification has been changed from Category A to Category C. Competitors, whose class rules permit, may now choose to display advertising on hull and sails.
